V krajinách ticha - Nikolaj a Ludmila
Při natáčení svého nejnovějšího filmu, který se odehrává v krajině sibiřské tajgy, zavál osud dokumentaristu Zdeňka N. Bričkovského k Nikolaji a Ludmile. I když se vzájemně neznají, mají mnoho společného. Padesátiletá Ludmila žije sama na okraji zapomenuté sibiřské vesnice Ordžonikidze. Píše básně, maluje, část života strávila v pravoslavném klášteře a je přesvědčená, že člověk bez Boha není ničím. Také stejně starý Nikolaj je hluboce věřící.

Žije v malém domku na břehu řeky Angary a boží chrám pro něj představuje zdejší panenská příroda, do jejíhož lůna se každodenně vydává na lov zvěře a ryb. Nikolaj vyznává staroslovanskou pohanskou víru, jejímž nejvyšším bohem je Rod, s nímž lze komunikovat skrze hudbu přírodních zvuků. Specifickou poetikou prodchnutý snímek s řadou lyrických pasáží umocňuje působivá zvuková kulisa, jejíž část obstarává sám Nikolaj, který za doprovodu své staré kytary zpívá melancholické písně.

fuckin' good KAMCHATKA - a ballet for two poachers
1000 miles from Kamchatsky-Petropavlovsk in the deep forest of Kamchatka and 120 Miles away from Esso, the next village, we meet Ivan and Dima, the two poachers in their little hut. They takes us for fishing. Nothing is planned, no situation arranged, no questions asked. Juerg and Yuri are unexpected passers-by. The mosquitoes clearly draw the line between them and the poachers.

The social situation offers a rare glimpse into the lives of men that have run away from prison in Petropavlovsk. 24 hours are barely enough to survive for a day. But the struggle for daily survival is part of their pride and strength. And their is another side to isolation. Out there in no-mans-land, 1200km from Petropavlovsk in the wilderness, the butterfly and the portraits of Faina create a level of sensitivity of another world. They show that culture has a life and an existence even more so, when circumstances are less than favorable. Faina is a special character. Her self-pride makes her and us believe that their could be a new beginning at any moment, if...
